Mom and Dad got out the bed sheet!

It's about time.

Dad slapped on his 50mm f/1.2, but ...

He did _not_ set it to f/1.2!

I discussed this travesty with KangaRangaRoo and Joey.

Eventually, I got over it.

Then I proceeded to go through the classic baby advertisement poses.

"I choose Melissa and Doug toys because I'm worth it."

"I don't always pour baby formula all over my feet and face, but when I do, I prefer Earth's Best organic soy."

"Someone pooped in my diaper."

The sun came up today, so we went to the zoo.

That being said, Dad is too tired to process all the photos right now, so here is a Royal Sampler of other stuff.

He shot these with the old Nikon 50mm f/1.2 and a 36-mm tube.

He says he had to use scotch tape to get it to work.

I told him to just use a regular modern lens on his Canon camera--maybe even a _Canon_ lens.

He says I don't understand that lenses are like paintbrushes. This, by the way, is Riley's paintbrush.

And this, by the way, is Riley.

My big sister Riley and I went to Zach's Happy Day party today.

There was ice cream cake.

Riley was more interested in watermelon, of course.

She also liked the balloons ...

... but mostly it was the watermelon.

She also got to play with other kids' toys.

Dad wandered around doing this, with a Nikon lens on his Canon camera.

Riley got to play Pin the Tail on the Donkey for the first time.

Bullseye!

She glowed with donkey pride.

You know what I think of Happy Day parties?

I think they are EXXXXXCELLLLLENTTTT!

Riley must think it's strange when I do my EXXXXXCELLLLLENTTTT pose, but really, she is the one wearing Pengit Boots in June.

See?

Dad is out of control.

Dad decided to try out a really old Pentax 50mm f/1.2 SMC K-mount lens.

Yeah, more of this again.

I have to admit it: It's surprisingly compact and draws a pleasantly low-contrast transition from foreground to background.

It's also good for snapping a picture of Riley and Clara playing with the garden hose. They were making "lenimade."

Dad says this is a better photo of Clara.

These are purple flowers.
