We went to Denver today to meet up with Aunt Ellen at Julie's house. (Riley wrote her first letter W in the bathtub today, but that's not what this is about.)

I assume you know what happens when Ellen's in town.

Oh, the biting!

I am ready for you! Do your worst!

AUGH! Auntie kisses!

There were two cats there, but Dad got photos of only one of them.

This is Kirby.

Big Sis likes kitties.

Julie really liked me.

Aunt Ellen brought me many gifts. Tis the season.

Mom and Dad showed me ahead of time how to feign enthusiasm.

We went to a fair in Broomfield recently.

Tia Peggy came along.

Mom and Dad were very grateful.

There was a carousel without horsies ... or music ... or electricity.

Slides are great without any of those things.

Wheeeeee!

Then it was zoo time AGAIN. I brought Baby Doll so she could see the beasties.

I tried to leave her on Klondike and Snow, who assured me that they could babysit ...

.... but Dad wouldn't let me.

There is a sea lion at the zoo. Sea lions have ears. So does Dad. Dad is a sea lion.

I tried to show Baby Doll to this peacock. That didn't work out too well.

Then I tried to have Baby Doll push some exhibit buttons.

Last but not least, I tried to let Baby Doll see the elephants.

Once Baby Doll got tired, I decided to show these kids how crouching is really done.

I am a mongoose!

This is the Worm of Measurement.

He's not an "inchworm" because he has both inches and centimeters on his tummy, see.

See? (According to the Worm of Measurement, I am 24 inches tall and I weigh 13 pounds, 10 ounces. I have no idea how the Worm knows my weight.)

The Worm of Measurement used to belong to Riley. Dad says that over the course of a year, Riley replaced every last bit of his stuffing with her own saliva.

Ba ha ha ha ha!

Saliva stuffing!

If I really understood what that meant, I probably wouldn't be holding the Worm of Measurement at all, let alone chewing on him!

But I don't understand what that means, so ...

Om nom nom nom!

My big sister likes to check in on me when I'm sleeping. She's just making sure I'm OK.

Mom and dad got Riley a small Pack and Play for her own baby. Riley found other uses for it. Sorry, baby!

We went for a walk around the block yesterday. Aaron and Simon came too.

Murray the dog joined us.

Simon made sure that the basketball was very safe. Even so, I was glad that Mom was walking me in my own stroller at the end of the line.

Riley certainly had a great time.

She laughs at anything Simon does, even though she's the one walking a basketball around the block.

I slept through the whole thing.
