Tagged: Again with the Farm

We tried to go to the farm last weekend, but they’re not open on Sundays.

That was sad.

They were open today, though, and some kid left this totally awesome bike that–much to everyone’s surprise–I pretty much knew how to ride.

I also took turns on the Human Centrifuge with this big kid …

… and of course there were the goats.

Zoe got to ride Cookie the pony.

She liked that a lot.

I got to ride Cookie too …

… and I liked it a lot.

Zoe had to go through rigorous training before she got her pony license.

She was all “Pony license?!?”

But she was happy when she finally got it.

Cock-a-doo!

The neighbor kids were playing baseball in the street, so I decided to join them. I always wear my helmet and bring a dog to look after me when I engage in street sports.

Zoe thought it was a little strange.

I never wear a helmet when feeding lorikeets ...

... or when testing my standing broad jump. SALMON BY 2012 OR BUST!

Because I didn't wear my helmet when jumping--or maybe because I still can't jump as far as a salmon--dad put me to work expanding highway 52 to three lanes.

I like it so much, I don't think of it as forced labor.

Time for the Zoe Violet Feldman pop quiz.

What do goats eat on the farm?

Time for the Zoe Violet Feldman hint.

That's right!

Corn!

Yes, you've seen this one before. Dad says it's too cute to show only once.

Dad processed a few more photos. In this one, I'm sitting in front of some hay at the farm.

In this one, Big Sis is fascinated by flamingos.

This is the hole in the top of our mailbox. Dad thinks it's pretty interesting that mailboxes are made with rainholes on top.

This is one of the little plants in our front yard. Like my neighbor friend Simon (Riley: "SYBIT!") says, we pretty much just let whatever grow there.

This is a photo of Zoe in the swing at the farm. You might not recognize her because dad shot it about 20 years ago and decided to process it only today.

He did follow me up this rickety staircase and across an Indiana Jones-style rope bridge, so I guess he's not all bad.

Now, you know the best thing about the farm, right?

GOATS!

I could feed goats all day!

They eat corn.

Here you go, goaty goat.

OM NOM NOM NOM!

Baby goats are just about the cutest things ever.

I've got two hands. Might as well use them.

Of course, goats aren't the only great thing about the farm.

There are giant Legos!

Hm. Looks like the goats have been here.

Not cool!

Thanks, dad, for processing these farm photos that you pretty much took before I was born.
