Mom and Dad said we were going to the Butterfly Pavilion today to see if Zoe would eat the butterflies.

But I fell asleep in the car, and when I woke up, well, you can guess where we were.

Does this look like a butterfly to you?

No. Not even a little.

It worked out OK because I got to see FOUR sea lions swimming.

I also got to hear the tiger ROAR for the first time.

Still, though, I have no idea if Zoe eats butterflies.

Sigh.

We went to Denver today to meet up with Aunt Ellen at Julie's house. (Riley wrote her first letter W in the bathtub today, but that's not what this is about.)

I assume you know what happens when Ellen's in town.

Oh, the biting!

I am ready for you! Do your worst!

AUGH! Auntie kisses!

There were two cats there, but Dad got photos of only one of them.

This is Kirby.

Big Sis likes kitties.

Julie really liked me.

Aunt Ellen brought me many gifts. Tis the season.

Mom and Dad showed me ahead of time how to feign enthusiasm.

It has been REALLY cold around here!

Brrrrr.

Lucky for me, this house is full of Scottie dog jumpers!

Why, I don't even need socks because I'm so toasty warm.

(That means I can eat my socks for a light snack!)

It goes without saying that the cold spell has led Dad to point the camera at the wrong things again.

He ...

... is ...

... out ...

... of ...

... control.

Guess what we did today!

It was really cool.

WE DECORATED PEGGY'S CHRISTMAS TREE!

Big Sis got to do some ornaments too.

She was very meticulous.

(That means she was really careful about where she put each one.)

I like ornaments as much as she does, though ...

... maybe even more!

Dad didn't even TRY to focus for this one. LAZY.

See this? It's an ornament.

Tia Peggy has boxes and boxes of them--even one Cow Box, which Riley really liked.

I think Tia Peggy enjoyed the day almost as much as we did.

Imagine that.

P.S. Mom made this ornament and gave it to Tia Peggy back when Mom used to play with sand and fire.
