Dad decided to try out a really old Pentax 50mm f/1.2 SMC K-mount lens.

Yeah, more of this again.

I have to admit it: It's surprisingly compact and draws a pleasantly low-contrast transition from foreground to background.

It's also good for snapping a picture of Riley and Clara playing with the garden hose. They were making "lenimade."

Dad says this is a better photo of Clara.

These are purple flowers.

I have been working on my expressions and body language. This is my copy of Riley's "Sit like a watermelon" pose.

Not bad, right?

This is my "pensively staring out the window" look.

This is my "knowing smile" look. I break this one out when someone tells me a story I don't quite understand.

I call this one "the angry grin."

This isn't actually one of my expressions, but Dad caught a frame with my tongue sticking out, so he kept it.

We went back to the Creek Fest the next day because I just could not stay away from the CHOO CHOO TRAIN. Besides, Dad wanted to take similar photos using his Ancient German Lens instead of the canpake lens.

He says the background blur of the canpake lens holds up surprisingly well compared with the Leica. I say "Whatever."

Hello!

We went to the Boulder Creek Fest the other day. The best part by far was the CHOO CHOO TRAIN.

Dad took these photos with his "pancake lens."

I have no idea what that means, but it sounds delicious. Of course, I would refer to it as a "canpake lens."

Speaking of delicious, the Creek Fest was my first--and probably last--opportunity to get a pork chop on a stick.

I know, right?

Lucky for me, this is Boulder, so they were also handing out carrots.

Baby Zoe had to think long and hard about which one she would prefer.
